In 2016, Emily took that leap and decided to get out of her comfort zone. Emily had always been a yoga advocate, but she began challenging herself more by personal training and branching out to new group exercise classes like kickboxing, boot camp and tabata. She also committed herself to healthier eating patterns with a focus on foods that contain only clean, natural ingredients. Suddenly, the classes and fitness events she feared became the obstacles she craved and she knew she had to keep going. In 2018, she trained for and completed her first 5k race, which led her to push herself further and complete the Broad Street 10-miler. Emily remains hungry for more accomplishments in 2019 and plans to complete the Renewed You Challenge, run Broad Street again, and be consistent with meal prep.
