Reoccurring negative thoughts affect the way you succeed, feel, act and perceive the world.  Many people drag themselves down by believing they are not good enough or undeserving. If negative thoughts affect your life, imagine how positive thoughts could change your life. Countless researchers have come to an agreement that positive affirmations can impact your thoughts which, in the long run, impact your career success as well as your relationship with yourself and others.

You can think of affirmations as a positive word, phrase or multiple sentences.  You can use affirmations in any situation where you want a positive change to occur in the moment or in the future.  They can also be used to manifest abundance, love, self-confidence, self- esteem, healing, emotional strength, success, energy and all your future desires.

How to Use Affirmations:

  1. Take at least 3 slow controlled deep breathes
  2. Stand in front of the mirror and look yourself in the eyes or close your eyes wherever you may be
  3. Say your affirmation slowly and clearly aloud or to yourself
  4. Repeat your affirmation 3-5 times while listening and believing in your own words

Affirmations are meant to be personal to you. Think about the specific life changes you need. For example, if you struggle with negative self-talk, then you can make an affirmation that is the opposite of that thought. Let’s say the negative thought is, “I am not good enough to do well in this business.” You can flip that into a positive affirmation such as,” I am a skilled and experienced professional.” Another example could be with self-esteem.  You can switch the negative discouragement like, “I will never be as fit as that other person,” to a positive reinforcement like, “I am determined and motivated no one will get in my way!”

  • “I am bringing a positive attitude to work every day”
  • “I am honest in my work”
  • “I am well prepared and rehearsed. I will give a great presentation.”
  • “I can do this!”
  • “I will continue to reach my fitness goals”
  • “My body is healed, restored and filled with energy”
  • “I am going to crush this workout and feel great after it”
  • “I am happy and beautiful”
  • “I will do everything I can to take care of my body and mind today!”
  • “I am fearless and strong!”
  • “I enjoy keeping myself fit and energized”
  • “I am calm and mindful”
  • “Daily exercise makes me feel fantastic!”
  • “I love and care for my body as it cares for me”
  • “Just keep moving!”
  • “Every day I am becoming fitter and healthier”
  • “When I exercise I feel rejuvenated and alive”
  • “I’ll change my thoughts, I’ll change my world”
  • “I enjoy my daily workouts”
  • “I am confident and capable of achieving my goals”
  • “I am healthy, happy and radiant”

Affirmations are simply positive sentences you repeat to yourself. These can be repeated as often as you want. Repeat your affirmation in times of stress, hard times and good times, or when you lack self-confidence or motivation.  Do not be afraid to create your own affirmation to make it extra personal.
