Though Melissa has always been a terrific athlete, now that her playing career is over, she is more focused on her overall health. Since beginning her wellness journey Melissa has lost a total of 20 pounds. Some of her major lifestyle changes include personal training twice a week and taking yoga regularly. She has also become more focused on her nutrition, as she enjoys cooking healthy meals for herself. One of Melissa’s most notable achievements is her successful completion of her first marathon. She accomplished this with no prior long distance running training, which goes to show that anything is possible with a positive attitude and hard-¬work mentality. Congratulations, Melissa and remember to keep pushing yourself to new heights!
