Spring has sprung — and this season, we encourage you to get back to the fundamentals of what brings you joy and happiness.

Take a moment to reflect:

  • What gets you out of bed every morning?
  • Is there something you look forward to doing?

Each day should bring you joy. Joyful moments don’t have to be big events; they can be as little as getting yourself coffee, dressing up to make yourself feel confident, reading a book or spending an extra few minutes with your pet. By purposefully adding small amounts of joy to your day, you create a positive environment for yourself. This, in turn, will allow you to be more present for others.

Need inspiration? Try adding some of these simple joy boosters into your day to lighten up your life!

  • Go for a walk outside, be present and enjoy your surroundings
  • Cook a meal for yourself or with friends or family
  • Call a friend to catch up
  • Spend time with your pets
    • Take them outside to play
    • Explore a new park or trail
    • Watch a show/movie and cuddle up
  • Listen to your favorite podcast or music (bonus if you listen outside)
  • Read a book
  • Work out solo or with a friend or family member
  • Relax on your porch
  • Treat yourself to a special coffee
  • Garden or tidy up the yard
  • Smile at a stranger
  • Meditate

It’s up to you to take control of the little things and create joyful moments. This season, take the opportunity to look inward and revisit your fundamentals of joy. Do something you haven’t done in a while. Get out of your comfort zone to try something you’ve been wanting to. Live in the moment, and allow yourself to enjoy the moment.

What are you waiting for?
